Newsec Energy Transition is pleased to have served as the sole financial advisor to Greencoat Renewables PLC (“GRP”) on its 100% divestment of the operational 43.2 MW Kokkoneva wind farm to Aneo, a joint venture between HitecVision and Trønder Energi.
The Kokkoneva Wind Farm was originally developed by German developers ABO Wind and reached COD in November 2022, upon which GRP stepped in as 100% owner of the asset. The Wind Farm is located in the Finnish region Northern Ostrobothnia and consists of 9 Nordex N149 4.8 MW turbines with partially secured revenues through a power purchase agreement.
With this acquisition, Aneo steps into the Finnish renewable market for the first time, strengthening their pan-Nordic portfolio.
